SOME SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO USE THIS BOOK
We recommend the following for successful use of this book :

Step 1.
Look at the picture ONLY.
What is the situations ?
Try to imagine what the people in the picture are saying.

Step 2.
Read through the skit once, quickly.
Is the situation the same as you predicted ?
In general, what is happening ?
What are the characters talking about ?
AVOID LOOKING AT THE JAPANESE TRANSLATION JUST YET.

Step 3.
Read the skit again, for meaning, still without referring to the Japanese translation.
Write down any words or phrases that are unfamiliar.
Discuss the key points / key phrases.
What was the cause of misunderstanding between the characters ?

Step 4.
Refer to the translation and notes for help with words and phrases you didn’t understand.
Be sure to keep a diary of new words and phrases.

Step 5.
With a partner, act out the skit.
Remember, these are all based on real conversations, so don’t just read, act !
Repeat this step as many times as necessary.

Step 6.
Create a new conversation.
